Basset Hull wrote a Tasmania book too, simply called Stamps of Tasmania. I can't comment on how good or otherwise it is -- I've never found a copy. The only other major work on Tasmania's stamps, WE Tinsley's Tasmania, is readily enough available and cheap but, except for rare flashes of brilliance, almost useless.

I visited Tasmania again last week, driving s Kms though some of these tiny hamlets where the cancels hailed from. The only serious stamp collection I was ever tempted to form was a complete showing of all the Tasmania circular date-stamps, and instructional markings of this period.
